About Life and Cycles
It’s is a happy working collaboration between friends and colleagues, Kathy Payne (Women’s Certified Health Coach, Preconception Care Practitioner, Registered Homeopath, Homeobotanical Therapist) and Rebecca Geanty (Acupuncturist and Clinic Owner).
We help women (and couples for fertility) from puberty to menopause and beyond AND everything in between, to protect and boost fertility, to help calm haywire hormones and relieve menopause symptoms.
Hence “life and cycles”.
Why work together?
Basically for YOU. And also because we’re a fab fit.
We feel that working together in a holistic way is much better for clients and their goals – you get two pairs of beady eyes on your case (and Rebecca’s needling/cupping/pressing hands, of course!) and all of the tools we have available.
It makes perfect sense to work together to help women achieve their health and life goals, as we have shared interests – boosting fertility, IVF preparation, supporting pregnancy, helping relieve icky issues like irregular and troublesome cycles, PMS, hormonal headaches and skin breakouts, low energy and mood, hot flushes, weight gain and much much more.
Get in touch if your worry isn’t on that short list, by the way.
We’re also a happy partnership because we share the same values and views on working with women and couples. We like to treat everyone as an individual. We view everyone as a whole person. And we give people time to tell their story in a safe and non-judgey space. We have listening ears, broad shoulders, warm smiles and kind hearts.
What’s our approach?
At Life and Cycles, we use natural approaches like food choices, lifestyle changes and a wealth of complementary therapies including acupuncture, health coaching, homeopathy, herbs, hair mineral testing, cycle charting and more.
We tailor our approach to your needs and preferences.
And we’re very happy to complement the treatment you’re receiving from conventional medicine practitioners or other therapists.
We prefer to work with people in “chunks”.
That means, we encourage people to sign up with us for 6 weeks initially. Sure, we know other therapists offer time for money and that’s okay: we choose to offer ongoing care because we know that it takes time to see change, especially if your issue has been going on for a while.
And committing to a short programme means that you get our ongoing support, including in between appointments, if you need it.
Of course, some of our therapies require you to be in our clinic in person, like Acupuncture. However, Kathy is able to work via Skype so please let us know if this is something that would work for you.

Want to know more about Kathy?
Kathy is a Meno Maven. Loud and proud. And like most Health Coaches and therapists, her journey started with her own health issues.
As a former Corporate Stress Bunny, she knows first hand about adrenal stress, fatigue, sleepless nights, screwy cycles and petrifying periods (being scared to sneeze at work in case she flooded her own pants!), muscle tension, digestive disturbances, big old breakouts and riding that rollercoaster of energy, hormones and moods. Yes, she too has existed on caffeine, wine and ready meals, slumped knackered on the sofa every night, whilst counting the days until the weekend and motivated by her next holiday. Life isn’t meant to be that way. And it’s not like that any more for her.
As a menopausal woman, she has seen it all from puberty to menopause. She knows a thing or two about hot flushes, anxiety, weight gain (she’s lost her own meno muffin top following her own advice), brain fog, mood swings and all the other common and less common signs of menopause.
Her own issues sparked her interest in both hormone health and fertility AND complementary health and she’s now qualified in Health Coaching, Hormonal Health Coaching, Foresight Preconception Care, Homeopathy and is studying to become a Nutritional Therapist with the Institute of Optimum Nutrition. She’s been working in natural health for 8 years.
She writes regular features for Fertility Road magazine. Me Me Me online magazine and has been a contributor to online summits on fertility.
Kathy can always be found with her head in a book or watching some webinar, as a lifelong learner really keen to educate women on women’s health issues, because wonderful women, be aware that the modern world is full of things that disrupt our delicate hormones and can impair fertility and no-one teaches us this stuff.
It’s what Kathy teaches our clients and she supports them using natural ways to improve their wellbeing.
But she’s not The Health Police and she’s still on her own health journey and can empathise with yours.
When she’s not working or studying, she makes time for her long-suffering husband, two labradoodle dogs and she enjoys cooking healthy food, travel, gardening and growing and comedy (watching that is, not performing!).
Want to know more about Rebecca?
Qualified in 2011, Traditional Acupuncturist Rebecca Geanty graduated from the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine (CICM), where she learnt both styles of acupuncture: 5 Element constitutional acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). She followed her dream to help others and at the same time move away from a stressful career in catering. Well known for her commitment to her work and kindhearted nature, you feel encompassed in genuine human kindness when undergoing treatment in her care .
After qualifying Rebecca focused her dedication to natural fertility health and pregnancy where she learned from pioneers in this field; Jani White, Debra Betts, Zita West to name a few. In her first year of qualifying she attended births as an acupuncturist, set up a community Acupuncture Multibed (with specialist interest of fertility and pregnancy), launched the Acupuncture Childbirth Team for East Anglia and her feet barely touched the ground. Realising that fertility, pregnancy and birth can bring emotively stressful life situations and trauma that can go on for long periods, Rebecca made it her mission to provide help and support to women, men, and couples to help ease such difficult journeys.
In 2016 her expansion of her busy acupuncture Multibed evolved into “Treat” a Complementary Health Clinic on Heigham Street in Norwich, where her special interests have been expanded to a more holistic, all encompassing, empowering approach. That’s some of the reason’s behind the dynamic duo, of Kathy and Rebecca’s collaboration of “Life and Cycles” .
The acupuncture clinic at Treat now sees 60-70 patients per week, both in a private and multibed communal setting, it is now open four days a week. Specialising in natural fertility for both women and men, support throughout pregnancy and post partum care (after delivery), as well as menopause and all those irritating women’s issues.
So when Rebecca is not working what does she do? She loves taking off in the campervan, and due to her previous career is a big foodie, so a food tour or unusual catering experience really floats her boat.
